Common questions

What are TMUA community papers?
Practice papers written by tutors, teachers and students rather than by the exam board. They follow the same shape as the real TMUA — two papers of twenty multiple-choice questions, seventy-five minutes each — and exist because the number of official past papers is small and runs out quickly.
Are they free?
Yes. All 73 papers on this page are free to sit, from all 30 contributors, with no account needed to browse them. Each is credited to whoever wrote it and links back to their own site where they have one.
How good are community papers compared to the real thing?
They vary, which is the honest answer. Some are close to the real standard and some are harder or easier than any real sitting. That is useful in itself: sitting a range of difficulty is better preparation than sitting the same four official papers repeatedly. Every paper on tmua.io can be rated by students, so the ratings tell you what to expect.
Do the community papers come with solutions?
Many do. Where a contributor published worked solutions they are shown alongside the question after you finish, and where they published a solution sheet for the whole paper that is linked instead. Everything is marked automatically either way.
Where do these papers come from?
They were gathered from Google Drive links, forum threads, tutor sites and Discord servers, and collected in one place so they are not scattered across a dozen posts. Contributors are credited by name and linked to. If a paper here is yours and you would like it changed or removed, get in touch.
