You sit the test once, on the day you chose when booking. Registration deadlines and results dates come from UAT-UK and can change, so take them from uat-uk.org rather than a prep site.
What the day looks like
- Paper 1, Mathematical Thinking. 75 minutes, 20 multiple-choice questions on AS-level material.
- Paper 2, Mathematical Reasoning. 75 minutes, 20 multiple-choice questions on logic and proof.
- No calculator and no formula book. The test runs on screen, with a timer, question flags and a review screen.
The screen is the bit nobody practises
Most people prepare on paper and meet the exam interface for the first time on exam day. The tmua.io simulator is a 1:1 replica of it, and every official and community paper on the site runs inside it. It is free.
Working backwards from the window
There are eight published official past papers. If you are weeks out, they are the best material you have, sat timed and on screen. When they run out, the community library has 65 more free papers to keep going with.
